Virginia Bureau of Insurance signs contract with Sircon

The Virginia Bureau of Insurance announced that it has signed a contract with Sircon. This should allow for all interaction with the Virginia Bureau of Insurance to be much more efficient as they will be moving from their old database to a new web based service provided by Sircon. The Bureau expects to be better equipped to manage and administer insurance regulations relating to enforcement case actions, complaints, producer data, and rate and form filing. It will also provide direct online access to Virginia for insurance carriers, education providers and producers to process electronic appointments, terminations, license applications, renewals, continuing education credits, and many other services.

This will not affect the existing relationships that the Bureau currently has with Promissor as their insurance license examination provider and Thomson Prometric as their insurance continuing education administrator. If you are looking to become licensed or need your continuing education for Virginia materials for both are available on LearnInsurance.com.
